Our Group now has five sections, a Beavers Colony, two Cub Packs and two Scout Troops. Most of our members go on to the Vultures Explorer Unit who meet in our buildings.
We were formed in 1946 and have been sponsored by St Edmund’s Catholic Church in Village Way since then. From 4 boys, meeting in various places until we managed to build our HQ in Shortlands, near Bromley in 1957, we now have over 175 girls and boys in the group. We provide exciting everyday adventure to young people from 6 to 18. All of our sections sadly have to operate waiting lists but we are always looking for volunteers to help us offer scouting to as many young people as possible
We are part of Bromley District Scouts, we offer scouting in Beckenham, Penge, West Wickham, Hayes and Shortlands. We draw our members from as far afield as Bromley, Croydon, Keston, Lewisham and Downham and are open to children of all faiths and none.
